MPP/MBA ’23 – Healthcare Policy, Sustainable Net Impact Investing

Ranjani is a dual degree MBA/MPP candidate, focused on pursuing a career in strategic consulting and analytics with a concentration in healthcare policy, innovation, and sustainable net impact investing. Ranjani obtained her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, where she pursued research into international reproductive health before pivoting her career to corporate finance and strategy. Ranjani pursues Indian classical dancing semi-professionally in her free time, is an avid writer/reader, loves to travel, and enjoys spending time with family and friends

Declan Murphy, Senior Spring Editor

MPP ’22 – Voting, Social Justice, & Transportation Policy

Declan Murphy (MPP ’22) is a Senior Editor for the GPPR Spring Edition. Declan‘s policy interest areas include voting systems, social justice, and transportation. Declan is Presidential Management Fellowship Finalist and hopes to work to promote equity-minded policy research within the federal government

Alexander Delgado, Senior Spring Editor

MPM ’22 – Social Policy, Social Safety Net Programs

Alexander Delgado is a graduate student at the McCourt School of Public Policy pursuing a Master’s in Policy Management. Alexander’s areas of focus are social policy, program management, and social safety net programs. Alexander graduated from Boston University with a degree in Neurobiology and Psychology. After graduating, he began working at a New York City nonprofit providing direct services to undocumented immigrants, survivors of domestic violence, and survivors of human trafficking. Alexander then moved to Washington, D.C. to work on a federal grant and oversaw several anti-trafficking programs in multiple states.

Anne Feldman, Senior Spring Editor

MPM ’22 – Democracy Reform, Urban Policy, Sustainability

Anne Feldman is a Senior Editor for Georgetown Public Policy Review on the Spring Edition Team. Her policy interests include democracy reform, Nordic security, and urban policy with a focus on sustainability. In addition to graduate school, Anne works on Capitol Hill as Deputy Communications Director for Senator Hassan (D-NH). Anne attended Dickinson College where she earned her degree in Political Science.

Zhourui (Cloris) Li, Junior Spring Editor

MPP ’23 – Economic Policy, Foreign Policy

Originally from China, Zhourui (Cloris) Li is a full-time Master of Public Policy student at the McCourt School of Public Policy. Her policy interests include foreign policy and economic policy. Zhourui (Cloris) Li obtained her undergraduate degree from Davidson College, where she double majored in political science and East Asian studies. In her free time, Zhourui (Cloris) enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring museums and restaurants with friends.

Kasey Hall is a Junior Editor for GPPR on the Spring Edition Team. Kasey’s policy areas of interest include global and domestic health policy, civic tech, administrative burdens, and social policy. Kasey holds a BA in International Relations from Roanoke College and a Graduate Certificate in Global Post-Disaster Studies from UMass-Boston. In her free time, Kasey loves to travel, collect new passport stamps, and adding to her house plant collection.

Julia Stadlinger, Junior Spring Editor

MPP/MBA ’24 – Environmental Policy, Economic Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability

Julia Stadlinger is a Junior Editor for GPPR on the Spring Edition team. She is originally from New Jersey and attended Rutgers University where she earned her BS in Public Policy with a concentration in Poverty & Inequality. Prior to Georgetown, she worked on the data and program evaluation team at an anti-gender-based violence non-profit in New York City. Julia is a dual degree MPP/MBA candidate and hopes to pursue a career helping businesses adapt and respond to issues of environmental and social sustainability.

Katy Aylward, Senior Podcast Editor

MPM ’22 – Environmental Policy, Climate Resilience, Sustainability, and ESG 

Katy Aylward brings to GPPR a breadth of experience in project management, sustainability planning, environmental and economic analysis, and stakeholder outreach. Originally from Omaha, NE (go Huskers), Katy holds a BA in American Political Economy from Colorado College and an MBA from University of San Diego. Katy’s policy interests and areas of research at McCourt involve environmental policy and climate resilience, climate-related financial disclosure requirements, and the geopolitics of climate change.

Dia Porter, Senior Podcast Editor

MPM ’22 – Equity, Criminal Justice Reform, Data Policy

As a native Washingtonian, Dia Porter’s policy interests are urban-centric. Her current research focuses are in the realms of affordable housing, big data regulation, and transformative justice. She holds a B.A. in Communications and Business from George Mason University, receiving honors from Oxford University for her research in Gender Studies and Organizational Communications.

Brian Marroquín, Junior Podcast Editor

MPM ’22 – Inequality and Public Policy, State and Local Governance

Brian Marroquin was born in Guatemala City and was raised in the D.C. area. He was selected as a National Urban Fellow, earning a full scholarship to Georgetown to earn a master’s degree. While completing his degree he serves as a Program Officer at the Arlington Community Foundation, where he works on economic mobility initiatives such as Arlington’s Guarantee – Virginia’s largest guaranteed income pilot. He graduated from VCU in Richmond, VA, where he started his career in advocating for the economic mobility of working families. This included serving as an AmeriCorps member, a family resource center manager, and a nonprofit director.

Jasmine Adams, Junior Podcast Editor

MPP ’23 – Behavioral Science, Human Development, & Data Policy

Originally from the DMV area, Jasmine is interested in conducting data and Behavioral Science research to improve equity and efficiency in policy, organizations, and society. She currently works as a Senior Research Assistant at the YES Research Lab where she explores topics related to negotiations and organizational behavior. She earned a BA in Music and Political Science from UPenn and enjoys exercising, going to concerts, and binge-watching HGTV. 

Kyra Brown, Junior Podcast Editor

MPP ’23 – Social Policy, Tax Policy, Education Policy

Kyra Brown is a first year and full-time MPP student expected to graduate in the spring of 2023. She is a recent graduate from Michigan State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Relations and Policy. She has worked for nonprofits such as Susan G. Kolmen, Olmec (a UK based racial equity firm), as well as currently working part time for the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). Her policy interests include social policy, tax policy, education policy, as well as economic policy. In her free time, Kyra loves to go on long walks exploring DC, spending time with friends, listening to podcasts, and watching new TV shows or documentaries.

Kharl Reynado, Junior Podcast Editor

MPP ’23 – Health, Labor, and Fiscal Policy

Kharl Reynado is originally from West Haven, Connecticut, but is happy to call Washington, DC her new home. A proud Husky, Kharl graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BA in Economics and Human Rights in 2019. In Connecticut, she worked for a legal aid organization called the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center (CVLC) dedicated to serving veterans recovering from mental illness and homelessness. There, she developed an interest in health, labor, and fiscal policy. Some of her favorite hobbies include trying new board games, cooking, and reading.

MPP ’23 – Social Policy, Tax Policy, Education Policy

Eleazar Weissman is from New Haven, Connecticut. Prior to coming to Georgetown and the McCourt School of Public Policy, Eleazar served as a wildland firefighter in California. Eleazar’s time at McCourt is focused on the relationship between public policy and societal issues, equipping him to take meaningful action and improve social outcomes.

Chase Bergerson, Senior Online Editor

MPP ’22 – Foreign Policy, National Security, Congressional Politics

Chase Bergerson is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from Gonzaga University in 2020 with a double major in History and International Relations. His policy interests include national security, defense, and Congress. Currently, Chase is working on a thesis on the impact of foreign-born players on a team’s World Cup performance. In his free time, Chase enjoys exploring new D.C. restaurants, reading, and watching college basketball.

Nathan Kriha, Senior Online Editor

MPP ’22 – Education Policy, Administrative Burdens

Nathan Kriha is a second year Master of Public Policy Student at Georgetown University, focusing on education and administrative burdens. Nathan grew up in LaGrange, Illinois and earned his B.A. in Program of Liberal Studies from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to entering McCourt, Nathan worked at a boutique education law firm where he engaged in legal research and learned about the importance and sheer difficulty of crafting comprehensive K-12 education policy. In addition to his studies, Nathan serves as the President of the McCourt Education Policy Initiative and works part time as a Research Associate for FutureEd.

Bria Pullin, Senior Online Editor

MPP ’22 – Migration, Conflict, & Environmental Policy

Originally from the greater Washington, D.C. area, Bria Pullin is completing the final semester of her Master of Public Policy program at Georgetown University. Prior to enrolling at Georgetown, Bria graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh where she focused on Conflict, Peace, and Security Studies. Bria is passionate about data-informed policymaking and hopes to work at the intersection of migration, conflict, and environmental issues.

Jackie Lamas, Junior Online Editor

MIDP ’23 – Migration & Refugee Policy, Maternal and Infant Health, International Development

As a Virginia native, Jackie grew up in the Shenandoah Valley and received her B.S. from Bridgewater College. She is now a candidate in the McCourt School’s Masters of International Development Policy program. Prior to Georgetown, Jackie worked in the field of maternal and infant health, where she advocated for pregnant women, as a doula, who had recently settled in the United States from all over the world. She is passionate about promoting the intersection of migration policy and access to health care, where she aspires to learn innovative policy solutions to Latin America’s migratory flows.

Pooja Thapar, Junior Online Editor

MPP ’23 – Gender Policy, International Development

Pooja is a full time Master of Public Policy student with an interest in the intersection of gender policy, innovation, and technology. She is currently a Student Analyst at the Beeck Center, exploring the role of technology for social impact. Originally from San Jose, CA , she earned her bachelors degree in Political Science from Santa Clara University, but has called the DMV home for the last 7 years. Prior to returning to graduate school, Pooja worked on digital strategy and corporate communications at the World Bank. In her free time, Pooja enjoys trying new restaurants and recipes, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

MPP ’23 – Environmental Law & Policy

Emma Kaboli is a member of the MPP Evening Program, while working full time in environmental law and policy. Before moving out to D.C., Emma served an AmeriCorps term at Iowa Legal Aid, where she worked as the Domestic Abuse Advocate under the Violence Against Women Act. Emma graduated from Cornell College with degrees in International Relations and Spanish, where she interned at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and studied environmental policy from a canoe in the Minnesota Boundary Waters. Outside of work and school, Emma enjoys exploring national parks, spending time with her friends and family, and eating all of the amazing food D.C. has to offer.

Bridget Mahoney, Junior Online Editor

Bridget Mahoney is a first year Master of Public Policy student at Georgetown University’s McCourt School. Bridget grew up in Jupiter, FL and came to Washington, DC five years ago for her undergraduate studies at the George Washington University. At GW, Bridget graduated with a B.A. in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs where she concentrated in Conflict Resolution with a regional focus in Europe and Latin America. Bridget’s policy interests are international policy, national security/cyber security, economic/trade policy, and social policy.

Alex Adams, Media Editor
MSDSPP ’22 – Partisanship, Voting, Elections
Alex is originally from Melbourne, Florida, and graduated from Florida State University in 2020 with a BS in Political Science and a BA in Spanish. His policy and research interests include partisanship, voting, and elections, and his research so far has focused on factors influencing voter attitudes and partisan preferences. When he’s not working for GPPR, Alex enjoys learning French, listening to podcasts, and trying out new recipes.

Madeline Kinnaird, Media Editor
MSDSPP ’22 – Environmental Justice, Voter Access

Madeline is a Senior Editor for GPPR on the Data Visualization team. She is interested in civic tech, environmental justice, and voter access. She is currently interning at NPR and hopes to continue pursuing data science within the media space.

Haoyang Li, Senior Communications Lead
MPP ’23 – Social Policy, Foreign Policy, Defense Policy

Haoyang Li is originally from China, and graduated from Wuhan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2020. As a Master of Public Policy Candidate at the McCourt School of Public Policy, he hopes to apply the humanistic spirit from literature to the real world to solve practical problems. Specializing in infrastructure investment, Haoyang Li writes and publishes articles about smart city construction and public private partnerships in China.

Vanessa Patel, Senior Communications Lead
MPP ’23 – Social Policy, Foreign Policy, Defense Policy

Originally from Berea, Kentucky, Vanessa Patel is a second year Masters of Public Policy (MPP) student. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in Political Science, where she focused on Criminology and International Relations. This past summer, Vanessa interned for Boeing Defense, where she developed an interest in international government and defense strategy. She enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and binge-watching movies.

Grant Fuller, Senior Communications Lead
MPP ’23 – Infrastructure, Smart Cities

Grant Fuller is from Durham, North Carolina. He graduated from UNC Greensboro in May 2020 with degrees in Marketing and International Business. Outside of GPPR, he serves as the President of Big Buddies and is involved with the Graduate Consulting Club. He currently interns for the office of Congressman Jim Clyburn and hope to work in Public Affairs for a tech or social media company after he graduates in May 2023. Outside of school, his hobbies include working out, muay thai, acting, and watching Marvel movies!

Zineb Riboua, Senior Business Lead
MPP ’22 – Technology & Foreign Policy

Zineb Riboua is the Associate Senior Online Editor and Business Manager of GPPR. She’s a Master of Public Policy Candidate at the McCourt School of Public Policy (2020 – 2022), specializing in technology and foreign policy. Zineb is also a writer and artist, she regularly publishes her work on her website (https://zinebriboua.substack.com), exploring various contemporary cultural and philosophical issues.
