EDITORIAL LEADERSHIP

Tabitha Wilson, Editor-in-Chief

Michael Chen, Managing Editor

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Michael Chen (he/him) is a second-year MPP student and graduate of Tulane University. He previously worked for the United States Attorney’s Office in New Orleans and currently works on Capitol Hill. Michael hopes to pursue a career in international relations and enjoys trying new DC restaurants in his free time.


SPRING TEAM

David Stout, Senior Spring Editor

MPP ’26 (Evening Program)

David is one of the Senior Editor for the Spring Edition of GPPR and a second-year student at the McCourt School of Public Policy in the MPP Evening Program. During the day, David works at the program support administrator at the National Association of Veterans’ Research and Education Foundations (NAVREF). Originally from Austin, TX, David lived for three years in the United Kingdom while attending the University of Cambridge to earn his Bachelor’s in Human, Social, and Political Sciences with a focus on political economy. David has previously worked in the Texas State Legislature, at the U.S. State Department, and as a Junior Editor for the Spring Edition of GPPR.

John McCabe, Senior Spring Editor

MPP ’26 (Evening Program)

John McCabe, a senior editor of the Spring Team of GPPR, is a second-year graduate student at the McCourt School of Public Policy. He serves as associate director and policy analyst of the Free Speech Project at Georgetown. He previously worked as a freelance reporter for Science|Business and as a contact tracer during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has a background in editorial publications and earned his bachelor’s in Writing for Film and Television (minor in Political Science) from Emerson College.

PODCAST TEAM

Bela Walkin, Senior Podcast Editor
MPP ’25 

Bela is GPPR’s Senior Podcast Editor and a second-year Master in Public Policy student at McCourt. Prior to moving to DC, she worked in Houston, TX, for two years as a management consultant in the financial and energy industries. Bela is passionate about transportation, sustainability, and using statistical methods for evidenced-based policy making. She holds a BA in Economics from Rice University.

Gabriel Taylor, Senior Podcast Editor
MPP ’25

Gabriel is a third-year MPP Evening student. Born and raised in the DC metro area, he has been close to DC policy and politics his entire life. Gabriel has a particular interest in policy that relates to how cities function, and how they can be more sustainable, equitable places to live.  Holding an undergraduate degree in music, he brings his experience in audio editing and production to the podcast team to help tell the stories of policy practitioners, legislation, and current events. He currently works at the Massive Data Institute as a Research Specialist managing projects that aim to make administrative data more accessible. In his free time, you can find him working on audio and music production, walking or biking around Arlington, and spending lazy Sundays with his wife and cats.

ONLINE TEAM

Dan Ryan, Senior Online Editor

Dan is a second year MPP student interested in health care payment and mental health policy. He works at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. He is originally from Belleville, IL and is an avid Chicago sports fan. In his (limited!) free time, he enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and reading.

Jane Wright, Senior Data Viz Editor
MPP ’25 

Jane Wright is a second year Master of Public Policy student. Jane is originally from Indiana and she earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University where she studied policy analysis. Jane is interested in election science and democracy policy and has experience researching election administration in the U.S.

COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

Moritz Ludwig, Senior Communications Lead
MPP ’25 

Moritz is a second year MPP student with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. He is passionate about transatlantic partnerships and global governance issues. Focusing on climate change, international trade, and insecurities, he hopes to bridge transnational divides in his professional and personal life.

BUSINESS TEAM

D’Angelo Francis, Senior Business Editor
MPP ’25

D’Angelo Francis hails from New York City, where he is a proud product of the NYC public school system and McCourt’s #1 Queensite. His current policy focus is on infrastructure, with a particular interest in the potential of high-speed rail to revolutionize transportation in the United States.

Policy interests: Transporation; Public Diplomacy
