Two weeks from today, GPPI’s Project Honduras will depart for Roatan. To prepare for the trip, the group has collected school and dental supplies from many individuals and organizations, including Highlights for Children Magazine and Dr. David Halpern of Columbia Smiles Family Dentistry. These tools will enable the group to implement the curricula they designed to teach children about environmental protection and dental health. Additionally, the group is working with various professional and non-government organizations to explore ways of improving water access for the community.
As part of the fundraising effort to support the project, GPPI’s Annual Service Auction will raise funds for Project Honduras. The auction will take place next Thursday, February 26th, at the Car Barn on the campus of Georgetown University.
