About the Georgetown Public Policy Review

Established in 1995, the Georgetown Public Policy Review is the McCourt School of Public Policy’s nonpartisan academic journal, offering analysis and critical insight on today’s most pressing policy challenges. GPPR is a student-run publication, featuring articles from students, faculty, policy analysts, and practitioners across the globe. Our mission is to promote thorough and empirical work in our field, as well as provide an outlet for thoughtful and provocative pieces on current events and contentious issues.

Our location in Washington, D.C. enables GPPR to share high-profile interviews and cutting-edge research and analysis from major players in the policy world. GPPR provides an invaluable opportunity for students to interact with faculty and policy leaders, showcases excellent student work, and shapes dialogue within the Georgetown community.

GPPR publishes online articles and podcasts year-round. Each spring, GPPR publishes a peer-reviewed Spring Edition focused on a specific policy theme. Starting in 2016, GPPR has exclusively published the Spring Edition online.
